A pedido de muchas personas que por las redes sociales me consultan sobre las 10 mejores atracciones de Buenos Aires, les dejo el siguiente post que ojalá les sirva.

Lo cierto es que la lista podría ser más larga, pero poniéndome en el lugar del turista que viene por pocos días a visitar la ciudad y quiere llevarse el mejor recuerdo en tiempo récord, acá les dejo mis 10 recomendados.

1- Plaza de Mayo

Sin dudas arrancaría por acá. Es la plaza más antigua y donde se fundó la ciudad. Con sólo girar la cabeza 360° te podés encontrar con: la Casa Rosada, La Catedral, El Cabildo y también es posible que te cruces con alguna manifestación, algo muy usual en nuestra ciudad.

2 - Obelisco

Icono indiscutible de Buenos Aires y parada obligada para llevarse una foto de recuerdo. Está ubicado en el cruce de las avenidas "9 de Julio" (una de las más anchas del mundo) y "Corrientes". Les recomiendo llegar a él atravesando Av. Diagonal Norte (desde plaza de Mayo), y si les gustan las compras, pueden desviarse un poco, al toparse con la calle peatonal más comercial de la ciudad, "Calle Florida".

3 - Avenida Corrientes

Algo así como el ¨Broadway¨ porteño. Mejor visitarlo de noche para ver el juego de luces y comer una rica porción de mozzarella en algúna de sus tantas pizzerías (les recomiendo Guerrín). Zona de teatros por excelencia, bares, librerías y comercios.

4 - Av. de Mayo

Esta avenida vale la pena atravesarla de punta a punta. Son 15 cuadras desde Plaza de Mayo hasta el Congreso. Su arquitectura es de estilo francés, aunque la mayoría de las construcciones fueron realizadas por italianos. En el camino nos vamos a encontrar con Café Tortoni (link), Palacio Barolo (link), hoteles, librerías, Monumento a los Dos Congresos y el edificio El Molino, entre otros.

5 - San Telmo

De mis barrios preferidos. Me encanta perderme entre sus calles adoquinadas mientras se van prendiendo los faroles. Por momentos uno siente que está en algún rincón de París. Café en mano y cámara de fotos preparada, una combinación que nunca falta cada vez que lo visito. Les recomiendo atravesarlo por calle Defensa, la arteria principal donde van encontrar todos sus atractivos (Pasaje Defensa, el Zanjón, Mafalda, zona de bares, Mercado de Pulgas, etc.) Link.

6- La Boca

Es el barrio más colorido de la ciudad. La famosa calle ¨Caminito¨ es considerada un museo a cielo abierto. No existen los días grises en La Boca pero sí la melancolía del pasado. Es una experiencia que van a disfrutar sin lugar a dudas. Les dejo un link para aprovechar a máximo el día que decidan conocer el barrio.

7 - Puerto Madero

Es la zona más moderna y exclusiva de BA. Pasear por su rivera con una cerveza en mano y ver el atardecer mientras se prenden las luces de los edificios es una experiencia única. El Puente de la Mujer es un buen punto para sacar fotos. La opción gastronómica es inmensa con hermosas vistas al río. Algúnos de sus lugares ofrecen show de tango. Link

8 - Palermo Soho

Barrio preferido de los jóvenes. En muchas de sus calles se puede apreciar el Street-Art, una tendencia que no para de crecer. Zona de locales comerciales que valen la pena disfrutar durante el día. Por las noches las opciones para ir a comer son infinitas (italiana, mexicana, japonesa, peruana, armenia, etc.) Eso sí, no se vayan sin conocer alguno de sus bares ocultos (link) y disfrutar de unos frescos cocktails. 9 – Floralis Genérica y Recoleta

"La flor de Av. Figueroa Alcorta" (como solemos decirle los porteños) es una escultura de acero de 20 mts de altura en homenaje a todas las flores. Abre sus pétalos durante el día y se cierran durante la noche. Es uno de los puntos más visitados. Frente a la flor está el barrio Recoleta para visitar sus sofisticadas calles (como por ejemplo Av. Alvear), Plaza Francia, Buenos Aires Design y el Cementerio, entre otros . Link

10 - Lagos de Palermo

Es el espacio verde más grande que tenemos y a la vez una excelente oportunidad para cortar con tanto cemento y bullicio. Sus bosques, lagos y paseos, se extienden casi a 370 ha por lo que es muy difícil recorrerlos en su totalidad. Les recomiendo la zona del "Rosedal" para hacer un picnick, caminar o pasear en bicicleta.

Bonus Track

Visitar el Barrio Chino no lleva mucho tiempo, así que si están por la zona (Belgrano), vale la pena desviarse y pasear por sus mercados. Les recomiendo puntualmente entrar a Tina&Co. (Un supermercado de varios pisos con artículos nacionales e importados, de todo tipo). Link

Many of you have asked me through social networks about the top 10 attractions of Buenos Aires. I hope you find this post helpful. The truth is that the list could be longer, but I just put myself in the place of a tourist coming for a few days to visit the city and wants to take the best of it in record time, so here are my 10 recommendations. 1- Plaza de Mayo Definitely the starting point. It is the oldest square where the city was founded. By turning your head 360° you will be able to discover: La Casa Rosada [The Pink House], our Cathedral, the Cabildo and it is also possible that you come across any public demonstration, something very usual in our city. 2 - Obelisco undisputed icon of Buenos Aires and a “must-stop” to take a souvenir photo. It is located at the junction of avenues “9 de Julio“ (one of the widest in the world) and "Corrientes”. I recommend to reach it through Av. Diagonal Norte (from Plaza de Mayo), and if you like shopping, may squeeze a little, when you bump into the pedestrian shopping street of the city, "Florida". 3 - Av. Corrientes It is our local version of NYC Broadway. which I'd suggest visiting at night to see the play of lights and eat a delicious slice of mozzarella in one of its many pizza stores (Guerrín is my favourite). It is definitely the area of theaters, bars, bookstores and shops. 4 - Av. de Mayo This avenue it´s worth walking from end to end. There are 15 blocks from Plaza de Mayo to the Congress. Its architecture is French style, although most of the buildings were built by Italians. On the way you will find Café Tortoni (link), Palacio Barolo (link), hotels, bookstores, Monumento a los Dos Congresos and El Molino building, among others.

5 - San Telmo One of my favorite neighbourhoods. I love getting lost among its cobbled streets as the lamps shine with me. At times you feel you're somewhere in Paris. Coffee in hand and camera ready, a combination that never fails every time I-m on it. I recommend explore it through Defensa street, the main artery where you will find all its attractions (Pasaje Defensa, the Zanjón, Mafalda, area of bars, Mercado de Pulgas[Flea Market], etc.) Link. 6- La Boca It is the most colourful district of the city. The famous Caminito street is considered an open air museum. There are no gray days in La Boca but melancholy of the past. It is an enchanting experience that you will definitely enjoy. Strolling along its banks with a beer in hand and watch the sunset while the buildings light, is a breathtaking experience. The Puente de la Mujer is a good place to take pictures. The dining option is broad with beautiful river views. Some places offer tango show. Link 8 - Palermo Soho The neighborhood chosen by youth. In many streets you can admire the Street-Art, an uprising trend. Zone plenty of stores to enjoy during the day. It opens its petals during the day and close them at night. It is one of the most visited places in town. In front of the flower is the Recoleta neighborhood, which you can visit and be delighted by its sophisticated streets (such as Av. Alvear), Plaza Francia, Buenos Aires Design and Cemetery, among others. Link 10 - Lagos de Palermo It is the largest green area we have and at the same time an excellent oportunity to leave both downtown concrete and bustle behind for a while. Its forests, lakes and walks, extending almost to 370 ha make them very difficult to cross in full. I recommend the "Rosedal” area to make a picnic, walking or cycling.

Bonus track Visiting Chinatown does not take long, so if you are nearby (Belgrano), it´s worth a detour and stroll through its markets. I strongly recommend to enter to Tina & Co (which is a multistory supermarket with national and imported goods of all kinds).
