#FarFromBA: Disney Orlando

La primera (y única) vez que visité @waltdisneyworld fue hace 10 años. Era un deseo que tenía de chiquita y me llevó mucho tiempo poder cumplirlo. De todas formas, creo que Disney se disfruta en cualquier momento de la vida.
Les cuento que a diferencia del viaje familiar al crucero de Disney en Bahamas, esta fue una invitación unipersonal, de parte de Aerolíneas Argentinas (junto a otros periodistas) para conocer su nueva ruta directa a Orlando y además bajarnos unos días en la casa de Mickey para conocer las principales atracciones de sus parques y poder traerles info fresca a todos los que estén interesados en hacer una visita a la tierra mágica donde los sueños se cumplen.
Un detalle a saber es que esta ruta está a prueba durante la temporada estival. Según me explicaron desde aerolíneas argentinas, evaluarían en los primeros días de abril si extendían todo el año o si retomaban en el próximo receso vacacional.
Mientras esté activa, habrá vuelos cada lunes, miércoles y sábados, saliendo desde BA (Ezeiza) a las 23:30 hs y llegando a Orlando a las 7 am. Es un vuelo directo de 9 hs.
El día del vuelo inaugural, Ezeiza fue una verdadera fiesta. Pasaron a saludar, nada más y nada menos que Mickey y Minnie, y todos recibimos orejas temáticas para ponernos a tono con el viaje.
El equipo de Aerolíneas Argentinas no se quedó atrás y se sumó con las orejas. Me encantó esa actitud y como descontracturaron un viaje, al mejor estilo Disney.
Llegamos a Orlando y nos estaba esperando el Bus que conecta el aeropuerto con los hoteles Disney. Este es un servicio que está incluido al quedarte dentro de los parques. Lo mismo sucede con los transportes internos entre hoteles, parques y Disney Springs (zona comercial).
A continuación les dejo un mapa general para que puedan darse una idea de como esta organizado y distribuido Disney porque es enorme.

Info útil:
Cantidad de días: Es importante organizarse bien para recorrer los parques. El mínimo recomendado es de 4 días.
Tickets: A la hora de comprar las entradas, cuantos más días, más económicos salen los tickets. Por eso te conviene sacar todo de una vez. Lo mejor es comprar online y sacarle jugo a las promos pero también puede hacerse en la entrada del parque. disneylatino.com
Fast Pass: sirve para subirse a los juegos sin hacer cola. Es gratuito y todas las entradas incluyen 3 fast pass. Para eso hay que bajarse la App #MyDisneyExperience y vincular las entradas para empezar a disfrutar de los beneficios, como por ejemplo, poder elegir tus fast pass 30 días de tu llegada, o hasta 60 días antes si te alojas en los hoteles Disney.
Comida: Podes llevar tu propia comida y agua en la mochila. Después podes recargar el agua gratis dentro del parque.
Hospedarse: afuera de los parques siempre es más barato PERO la experiencia y el encanto de estar dentro de los hoteles de Disney es única. Además tiene el servicio de traslado gratuito y otros beneficios más que valen la pena.
Top 3 de cada parque: Magic Kingdom: Splash Mountain, Blanca Nieves, y Show de fuegos artificiales en el castillo. Animal Kingdom: Pandora, Everest, Lion King show. Hollywood Studios: Rise of the Resistence, Rock & Rollercoster y Tower of Terror. Epcot: Soarin, Misión al espacio y show de fuegos artificiales. Disney Springs: Void, NBA experience, shopping.
Media jornada: Contemplen que un ticket puede usarse el mismo día para 2 parques diferentes, o bien, podes elegir visitar un sólo parque media jornada y descansar en el hotel el resto del día (sobre todo cuando hay pequeños que no aguantan el ritmo de una jornada completa) y visitar otro día, el mismo parque, durante la jornada nocturna (una visita más asociada a los show de fuegos artificiales de MagicKingdom o Epcot).
Día 1: HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
¿Algún fanático de #StarWars por ahí?
Llegamos justo para el lanzamiento de la nueva atracción en Hollywood Studios denominada #RiseOfTheResistence.
Para que lo entiendan, dentro del parque, hay un área denominada #GalaxyEdge donde realmente se sumergen en el mundo de Star Wars y viven una experiencia 360 a partir de aromas, sonidos y sabores (sí, hasta la comida en los restaurantes está customizada con colores y formas muy curiosas y apropiadas a la temática).
Sus dos atracciones principales (simuladores) son:
Millenium Falcon (inaugurada en agosto de 2019) Se trabaja en equipo de 6 personas para lograr que la nave llegue a puerto, evitando ataques y volando entre galaxias. Cada uno desarrolla un rol (volar, diparar o arreglar) y al final de todo hay una evaluación con puntajes.
Rise Of The Resistence (inaugurada en diciembre 2019). 10 pasajeros se trasladan dentro de un vehículo que desplaza por diferentes sectores de una gran nave, atravesando batallas y tratando de escapar para no ser capturados. Las dimensiones del juego y la verosimilitud de imágenes y sonidos es superior, logrando que uno se sienta realmente en el medio de una guerra entre galaxias.
Los restaurantes de Galaxy Edge.
Mi desayuno. ¿Que tul? lo pedí frutal y con bowl de yougur y granola.
Bonus Track:
No puedo dejar de pasarles este dato porque nunca lo había escuchado antes y tuvimos la suerte de conocer VOID en Disney Springs (zona comercial). Es Un juego de REALIDAD VIRTUAL (temática Star Wars) que es una verdadera locura!!! eso sí que es estar dentro de una guerra galáctica. No dejen de hacerlo!!! Se paga aparte (USD39) y vale la pena. Después me cuentan.
Otras Atracciones dentro de Hollywood Studios.
Rock & Rollercoster (montaña rusa) y Hollywood Tower Hotel (ascensor con caída libre).
Visitamos el Teatro Chino donde será la próxima atracción 2020, dedicada nada más y nada menos que a Minnie y Mickey. En hora buena un juego para los 2 grandes protagonistas de Disney!!

DÍA 2: MAGIC KINGDOM
Es mi parque preferido y además se vuelve muy especial en esta época.
El árbol de Navidad, el castillo, las decoraciones y los desfiles hacen que todo sea inolvidable. Más allá de las atracciones que tiene el parque, si vienen para las fiestas no se pueden perder:
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party: es el show navideño de todos los personajes con los atuendos correspondientes por las fiestas. Se desarrolla frente al castillo, con música y mapping. Además hay un desfile en la calle principal del parque. Dato: los días que ocurre esta fiesta, el parque cierra antes (18 hs) y sólo se quedan hasta la medianoche quienes hayan pagado el plus por este show.
Holiday Wishes: cada noche (que NO coincida con Mickeys Very Merry Christmas) el cielo se ilumina con un show de fuegos artificiales y mapping que cerrará tu visita a Magic Kingdom con broche de oro. (Este show esta incluido en la entrada regular).
El show de fuegos artificiales es la mejor parte de toda la visita.
DÍA 3: ANIMAL KINGDOM
Con el árbol de la vida como ícono principal, en este parque vamos a encontrar como grandes protagonistas a las pelis de Disney con personajes de la la fauna y la flora, como el Rey León o Avatar.
Creo que Pandora (simulador) es la gran atracción y merece ser visitada tanto de día como de noche, cuando el neón se enciende y transforma por completo toda la zona.
El show del Rey León es lindísimo. Lleno de acrobacia y buenos outfits.
DÍA 4: EPCOT
Vamos a pegarle la Vuelta al Mundo!!! De eso se trata #Epcot.
Para los que quieran visitar el parque, que el tiempo nos los engañe. Si bien tiene menos atracciones que los demás, es impresionante como se pasa el tiempo. Lo que más me gusto fue #Soarin. Es un simulador en forma de avión que te hace volar por algunos de los lugares más espectaculares del mundo y Argentina forma parte con nuestras tan amadas Cararatas de Iguazú. #Frozen y #Nemo son paseos muy lindos en bote, sobre todo para los más chicos, donde hace un recorrido por algunas escenas icónicas de cada pelicúla y el soundtrack de fondo. A esto hay que sumarle los 11 pabellones que tiene de diferentes países, para poder disfrutar de su cultura y su gastronomía.

El sector de china fue mi preferido y algo a destacar de Epcot en sí es, que todo el merchandising se personaliza en cada país. En esta foto les muestro los souvenirs de Alemania.
Dato piola de Epcot: Los personajes de Disney so más accesibles sin tanta cola como en Magic Kingdom. Morí de amor con esta nena a los abrazos con Mickey.

Every trip begins with a dream and this is mine. Welcome to Disney!
The first (and only) time I visited @waltdisneyworld was 10 years ago. It was a wish I had as a little girl and it took me a long time to fulfill it. Anyway, I think Disney is enjoyed at any state in life.
Unlike the family trip to the Disney cruise in the Bahamas, this was a one-person invitation, from Aerolineas Argentinas (along with other journalists) to know their new direct route to Orlando and also get off at Mickey's house for a few days to know the main attractions of its parks and to bring fresh info to all those who are interested in making a visit to the magical land where dreams come true.
BTW this route is being tested during the summer season. As Aerolíneas Argentinas explained, they would evaluate in the first days of April if they extended throughout the year or if they resumed in the next vacation break.
While the air rute is active, there will be flights every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, departing from BA (Ezeiza) at 11:30 p.m. and arriving in Orlando at 7 a.m. It is a direct 9 hours flight.
The inaugural flight day, Ezeiza was a real party. Mickey and Minnie came to say goodbye, and we all received thematic ears to get in tune with the trip.
Aerolineas Argentinas team also joined the ears squad. I loved that attitude and how they made this a fun trip, in the best Disney style.
We arrived in Orlando and the bus that connects the airport with Disney hotels was waiting for us. This is a service included when staying inside the parks. The same goes for internal transportation between hotels, parks and Disney Springs (shopping area).
Here is a general map so you can get an idea of how Disney is organized and distributed because it is huge.
Useful info:
Number of days: It is important to organize well to tour the parks. The recommended minimum is 4 days.
Tickets: When buying tickets, the more days, the cheaper the tickets come out. That's why you should take everything out at once. It is best to buy online (disneylatino.com) and get the promos but it can also be done at the park entrance.
Fast Pass: used to get on the games without queuing. It is free and all tickets include 3 fast pass. You just have to download the App #MyDisneyExperience and link the tickets to start enjoying the benefits, such as being able to choose your fast pass 30 days of your arrival, or up to 60 days before if you stay at Disney hotels.
Food: You can carry your own food and water in the backpack. Then you can recharge the water for free inside the park.
Staying: outside the parks is always cheaper BUT the experience and charm of being inside Disney hotels is unique. It also has the free shuttle service and other benefits that are worthwhile.
Top 3 of each park: Magic Kingdom: Splash Mountain, Snow White, and Fireworks Show in the castle. Animal Kingdom: Pandora, Everest, Lion King show. Hollywood Studios: Rise of the Resistence, Rock & Rollercoster and Tower of Terror. Epcot: Soarin, Space mission and fireworks show. Disney Springs: Void, NBA experience, shopping.
Half day: Contemplate that a ticket can be used the same day for 2 different parks, or you can choose to visit a single park for half a day and rest at the hotel the rest of the day (especially when there are children who won´t stand a full day stay) and visit another day, the same park, during the night (more associated with the fireworks show).
Day 1: HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
Any #StarWars fan out there?
We arrived just for the new attraction launch at Hollywood Studios called #RiseOfTheResistence.
For you to understand, inside the park, there is an area called #GalaxyEdge where you really immerse yourself in the world of Star Wars and live a 360º experience from aromas, sounds and flavors (yes, even the food in the restaurants is customized with colors and very curious shapes).
There are two main attractions here (simulators):
Millenium Falcon (opened in August 2019) Party of 6 make the ship reach the port, avoiding attacks and flying between galaxies. Each passenger develops a role (pilot, engineer or shooter).
Rise Of The Resistence (opened in December 2019). 10 passengers move inside a vehicle that travels through different sectors of a large ship, going through battles and trying to escape so as not to be captured. The dimensions of the game and the likelihood of images and sounds are superior, making you really feel in the middle of a war between galaxies.
Bonus track:
We were lucky to experience VOID in Disney Springs (shopping area). It is a VIRTUAL REALITY game (Star Wars theme) that is a real madness !!! that really is to be in a galactic war. Do not stop doing it !!! It is paid separately (USD39) and worth it. Then they tell me.
Other Attractions within Hollywood Studios.
Rock & Rollercoster (roller coaster) and Hollywood Tower Hotel (free fall elevator).
We visited the Chinese Theater where it will be the next 2020 attraction, dedicated nothing more and nothing less than to Minnie and Mickey. In good time a game for the 2 great protagonists of Disney!
Last but not least, If you don't try a Mickey ice cream sandwich, you didn't visit Disney.
DAY 2: MAGIC KINGDOM
It is my favorite park and it also becomes very special at this season.
The Christmas tree, the castle, the decorations and the parades make everything unforgettable.
Beyond the attractions, you cannot miss:
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party: this is the Christmas show of all the Disney characters with xmas outfits. It takes place in front of the castle, with music and mapping. There is also a parade on the main street of the park.
Note: on the days this party takes place, the park closes earlier (6 pm) and only those who have paid extra for this show stay until midnight.
Holiday Wishes: every night (which does NOT match Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party) the sky is illuminated with fireworks and mapping that will close your visit to Magic Kingdom with a flourish. (This show is included in the regular ticket).
DAY 3: KINGDOM ANIMAL
In this park you will find Disney movies fauna and flora characters as main icons, such as the Lion King or Avatar.
I think that Pandora (simulator) is the great attraction and deserves to be visited both day and night, when the neon turns on and completely transforms the entire area.
DAY 4: EPCOT
Let´s go round thw world, that is what Epcot is about!!
This park has fewer attractions than the others, but it is amazing how time flies.
What I liked the most was #Soarin. It is an airplane simulator which makes you fly through some of the most spectacular places in the world and Argentina is part of it with our beloved Iguazú falls.
#Frozen and #Nemo are very nice boat rides, especially for the little ones, where they take a tour though some iconic scenes of each movie and the beautiful soundtrack.
In addition to this, there are 11 countries parcels where you can enjoy its culture and gastronomy. Epcot Fact: Disney main characters (Micky, Minnie, Goofy, etc.) are more accessible without as much tail as in Magic Kingdom.
