Mezquita de Palermo

Que lindo se siente cumplir asignaturas pendientes 🙌🏻. Hoy visité el templo islámico de BA, la famosa #MezquitaDePalermo. Es muy loco pensar que si uno va a Turquía (por poner un ejemplo), lo primero que hace es visitar una mezquita. Sin embargo acá, teniendo esta a pocos pasos, me llevó 19 años acercarme a conocerla 🙈. Ofrecen tours gratuitos cada sábado al mediodía. No hace falta inscripción previa. Sólo presentarse a las 12 pm, con identificación y un pañuelo para cubrir la cabeza en el caso de las mujeres. Además se ruega un atuendo que no muestre hombros o faldas muy cortas. El tour dura 1 hora aproximadamente y se recorren las diferentes instalaciones (patio principal, escuela, museo y templo) mientras se aprende (o se repasa) sobre esta cultura y religión.

Crossing this one out from the bucket list..

Today I visited the BA Islamic temple, the famous #MezquitaDePalermo (Palermo´s Mosque).

It´s crazy to think that if, for instance you go to Turkey, the first thing you do is visit a mosque. However, here in my hometown, it took me 19 years to get to know this one 🙈.

They offer free tours every Saturday at noon. No previous registration is required. Just show up at 12 pm, with identification and a handkerchief to cover the head in the case of women.

The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and you get to visit the different facilities from the mosque (main courtyard, school, museum and temple) while learning (or reviewing) this culture and religion.

It is definitely worth visiting.
