#FarFromBA: Alemania-Praga
English version at end of post Una visita al país germano con una breve escapada de 2 días a República Checa para visitar Praga, una de las ciudades más lindas de todo Europa.
De skylines modernos a castillos antiguos, pasando por aldeas y probando todo tipo de comidas. En este post te cuento todo mi Road Trip y los mejores consejos.
Antes que nada, les muestro la ruta que delineamos y a continuación desarrollaré cada ciudad.
Lufthansa tiene vuelo directo a Frankfurt desde BA. Son muy amigables y atentos con los que viajan con bebés. Por muy poca plata pueden obtener un asiento preferencial. Se lleva mi 👍
Acá una ampliación de la "ruta oficial" dentro del viejo continente
Alemania es un país muy seguro para manejar y tiene tantas cosas para ver, que en mi opinión, lo mejor es planificar el recorrido en auto para no perderse de nada y permitirse paradas espontáneas. Las rutas están impecables, la señalización es óptima y el paisaje acompaña
Datos importantes: 🚗 Pueden Alquilar auto en: Europcar, Avis o Sixt y solicitar con ANTELACIÓN una silla para bebé/niño (o llevar la propia, ya que los niños pueden despachar hasta 23 kg sin costo en el vuelo). Alquiler Aprox x día: USD 40/50. Alquiler de Carseat por día USD 10/12. 🚗 Se necesita registro Internacional y en BA pueden tramitarlo en ACA por ARS700, tramite rápido y sin turno. 🚗 No existe límite de velocidad, salvo qué haya una señal que te lo indique y no existen peajes. 🚗 El carril izquierdo es el más rápido y los autos llegan a ir a 220, si no pensás ir (tan) rápido mantenete a la derecha. 🚗 “Ausfahrt” no es un pueblo, significa “salida” 🤣 🚗 El baño de la estaciones de servicio se paga con monedas (€0,70) y el recibo te sirve para descontarlo de alguna compra que hagas en esa EESS u otra distinta. 🚗 Los domingos no hay camiones en la ruta y es un placer transitarla.
🚗 La frontera entre Alemania y Rep.Checa es imperceptible. Así que si estás en auto, vas a tener que frenar en la primer estación de servicio que puedas y pedir la “viñeta” (sticker) para pegar en la ventanilla y así evitar multas por ingresar con auto alemán 🤷🏻♀️. Cuesta €13.
1) Frankfurt
* Taxi: desde el aeropuerto de Frankfurt al centro de la ciudad cuesta €40 (Uber es sólo en Berlin) y el tren está €5 por persona. * Estadía: promedio de 2-3 días. Los fines de semana los hoteles son más baratos que en la semana por ser Frankfurt el centro financiero y la ciudad más internacional de Alemania. * Celular: compré un chip por €15 (el más barato es de €10). Se puede comprar en el aeropuerto o en la ciudad (T-Mobile o Vodafone). Debería durar 28 días pero depende del uso que cada uno le da. TIP: es importante mantenerlo en modo Avión y usar el wifi de hoteles y restaurantes mientras sea posible. Cuando no hay wifi a mano y se necesita conexión, se desactiva el modo avión y listo. La ciudad está separada en 2 por el río Meno con puentes peatonales para poder cruzar de un lado a otro. Cosas que ver: * Romerberg: Casco histórico. * Barrio Sachsenhausen y caminar por la zona de Berger Strabe. * Jardín de las Palmeras y la casa de Goethe * Distrito Financiero y zona comercial (Recorrer calle Zeil). * Calle de los museos (más de 15 museos orillas del Meno) * Puente de hierro o de los enamorados * Miradores: Catedral de Frankfurt, Torre meno o el Fleming Roof Bar. * Night Life: alrededores del Café Bar Celona Hay muchas cosas más pero esto ya les deja es un buen panorama. Apartado especial a @lindnerhotels (sitio). Me voy enamorada de las vistas de la habitación y encantada con todo el staff que fue super atento y servicial en todo momento ¡Lo recomiendo!
2) ELTZ
Una parada obligada en el recorrido por Alemania es visitar algún #castillo. De hecho, hay toda una ruta específica (conocida como la #RutaRomantica) para conocerlos todos (Se visitan 16 pueblos y se recorren 372 km). Dado que no constaba con ese tiempo, sólo me anoté 2 de ellos y acá les muestro el primero: El Castillo de #Eltz es considerado por muchos, uno de los más lindos del país. La experiencia fue algo así como sumergirse en el medioevo. El sendero para llegar al Castillo te preparara para una de las mejores postales y recuerdos del viaje con el ruido del río de fondo #Epico El registro más antiguo del castillo es de 1157. En el año 1268 después de una disputa familiar, la propiedad del castillo se dividió entre 3 hermanos y más tarde entre sus descendientes. El castillo llegó a ser habitado por más de 100 personas. Dato: Dentro del lugar se puede comer rico y a buen precio. Al final del recorrido recomiendo bajar al arroyo y tirarse un ratito a descansar y admirar el paisaje. Info Util: 👉 Desde Frankfurt son 2hs en auto. Hay un parking antes del ingreso (€2,00). 👉 Desde ahi tienen 2 opciones: Caminar por 15 min mientras se recorre el sendero o acercarse con un minibus (€2,00) 👉 Las paradas de tren más cercanas están en Moselkern y Karden. Desde ahí pueden caminar, tomar un taxi o un bus dependiendo el día. 👉 Abre de 9:30 a 17:30 hs. Hay visitas guiadas en Inglés (€10) pero el patio interno es libre y gratuito, así como el acceso a la cafetería.
3) Rothemburg
Rothemburg ob der Tauber es el pueblo más pintoresco de la #RutaRomántica. Para muchos es un pueblo de cuentos y hadas. Incluso, es donde se desarrolla el Mercado de #Navidad más lindo del mundo y dicen que Disney se inspiiró en él para desarrollar “Pinocho”. Son 2 hs en auto desde Frankfurt. A continuación les dejo todo lo que visité.
👉 Tienda de la Navidad en la calle Herngasse: No importa en que mes lo visites, vas a sentir que estás en Navidad. La tienda recrea un pueblo alemán nevado en diciembre. Hay un árbol de 5 mts. (entrada gratuita). 👉 Museo de la navidad: está dentro de la tienda que les acabo de contar (€4) para adultos y (€2) para chicos. Es una colección única de árboles de Navidad de los últimos 200 años. 👉 Torre Rodertor: Se logran fotos increíbles de Rothemburg. También pueden subir al ayuntamiento para lograr buenas vistas. 👉 Paseo por los jardines del antiguo castillo. 👉 Por las noches, en la plaza central, el sereno de Rothenburg hace caminatas con la gente para contar historias y leyendas de este fantástico pueblo.
4) Nuremberg
Nuestro paso por Nuremberg fue express. Partimos de Rothemburg camino a Munich y frenamos a almorzar y a estirar un poco las piernas en #Nuremberg. No pudimos haber elegido mejor lugar. De hecho, al conocerlo, nos arrepentimos de no haber podido pasar la noche y recorrer con más tiempo. Así que mi tip sería que puedan dedicarle un día completo para perderse entre sus calles y puentes. Una postal tras otra.
5) Munich
La foto la saqué desde el mirador que tiene la #IglesiaSanPedro que es la más antigua de Alemania. Los principales atractivos turísticos de Múnich están muy cercanos entre sí y se puede recorrer a pie facilmente. Les voy a dejar algunas paradas obligadas pero hay mucho más para ver: 👉 Marienplatz: es la plaza central de Munich desde su fundación. Visiten la Iglesia de Pedro y suban al mirador. 👉 Jardín Inglés: Uno de los más grandes del mundo (+ grande que el Central Park). No se pierdan a los surfers en los canales del parque. 👉 Residencia de Munich: Es el antiguo Palacio Real y el más grande de Alemania en zona urbana. 👉 Palacio de Nymphenburg: Era la residencia de verano de los gobernantes del reino de Baviera. Vale la pena. 👉 Dachau: Campo de concentración. 👉 La Plaza del Rey: un pedacito de Grecia en Alemania. 👉 La Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Múnich y la Pisada del diablo (ninguna construcción puede ser más alta que la Catedral)
Apartado espacial a la Cerveza en esta ciudad.
Hay más de 600 #Biergarten para disfrutar lo que probablemente sea la mejor cerveza del mundo. Me encanta la tradición que tienen los muniqueses (si, se dice así) de poder sentarse uno lado del otro y entablar conversaciones, cerveza de por medio, a toda hora y a todo momento. Ni hablar del #OcktoberFest, la fiesta popular de la cerveza más grande de Alemania y una de las más importantes del mundo que se celebra desde 1810. Les dejo las 3 cervecerías que más me gustaron: 🍺 Hofbräuhaus (la más turística) 🍺 Agustiner Brau (la más antigua) 🍺 Orlando (la más elegante) Datazo: Munich es el paraíso de embarazadas y madres lactantes. Hay cerveza sin alcohol en todos lados y es excelente.
6) Neuschwanstein
En una época donde los castillos y las fortalezas no eran necesarios, Luis II de Baviera, conocido como el #ReyLoco o “inadaptado”, mandó a construir un Castillo que reflejaba un mundo imaginario y poético en el que podía refugiarse y soñar. El castillo es tan espectacular que hasta el mismísimo Walt Disney se inspiró en él para la creación del Castillo de la Bella Durmiente.
Tiene 200 cuartos y en temporada alta llega a recibir 10.000 visitantes por día. Abierto al público desde 1886, tan sólo unas semanas después de la muerte del Rey. Info Util: 👉 El castillo está a 130km de Munich 👉 Abre todos los días de 8 a 17 hs (€13) 👉 La entrada se puede reservar online o adquirir ahí mismo (Incluye la audioguía en español. 40 min recorrido interno). 👉 Se puede llegar en transporte público después de varios transbordos pero por lo que investigué es una opción lenta e incomoda. Lo mejor es contratar un tour o alquilar un auto. 👉 El castillo suele estar en constante mantenimiento y el puente desde donde se logran las fotos panorámicas puede estar cerrado o la fachada del castillo tener andamios. Si esto les es un inconveniente, chequeen antes de ir. 👉 Por último, contemplen 20 min de caminata cuesta arriba desde el estacionamiento y si están con cochecito (como nosotros) pueden tomar un bus por (€2) y llegar en 5 min. La vuelta es más sencilla porque es todo para abajo.
7) Regensburg
Esta fue otra de nuestras paradas express pero merecedora de una jornada completa, quedándonos a pasar la noche, ya que Regensburg o "Ratisbona" fue declarada Patromonio de La Humanidad por la UNESCO. La verdad es que vale muchísimo la pena darse una vuelta y perderse entre sus pintorescas casas y calles. No dejen de visitar su imponente Catedral y por último, bajar y pasear por la rivera.
8) Praga (República Checa)
Como les había contado, hicimos un mini desvío de Alemania y nos cruzamos a #RepúblicaCheca para conocer esta ciudad que tantas ganas le teníamos. A la hora de elegir donde hospedarnos fuimos en contra de la corriente respecto de donde suelen quedarse todos los turistas (Ciudad Vieja) y nos vinimos para #MalaStrana que es la zona más elevada y cercana al Castillo de Praga. Mucho más tranquila y pintoresca.
Quiero recomendarles al hotel Golden Key miembro de @astenhotels uno de los hoteles más family-friendly en los que me he hospedado en mi vida. Además, la ubicación es estratégica, está sobre la calle “Nerudova“ considerada una de las más lindas de Europa y a pocos pasos del Castillo de Praga.
Imperdibles: ⭐️ Stare Mesto: * Old Time Square (Plaza central) * Reloj Astronómico (es un mirador tmb). * La escultura de Kafka * La Casa danzante. ⭐️ Mala Strana: El Castillo y su Catedral (desde los jardines del castillo se consiguen panorámicas únicas y todo esto es gratis) ⭐️ Gastronomía: * Trdelnik (cañoñcito relleno) * Gulash con dumplings (carne) * Cerveza (es muy buena y económica). * Kulajda (sopa cremosa a base de papa) ⭐️ Puente de Carlos: subir a su torre para 📸
Info útil: 👉 1992 República Checoeslovaquia se dividió en lo que hoy conocemos como Rep. Checa y Eslovaquia. 👉 Praga es la capital de Rep. Checa, la cual pertenece a la Unión Europea pero NO utiliza Euro sino la Corona Checa (€1=23 CZK). 👉 La mayoría de los lugares acepta tarjeta y Euros pero darán vuelto en CZK. Nosotros con una visita de 2 días, no cambiamos dinero en ningún momento. 👉 Se Habla Checo pero todos manejan un inglés básico. De todas formas, saludar y agradecer en el idioma local, siempre será valorado. Por lo tanto, fonéticamente hablando. Hola es “ajoi” y gracias “dikuí”. 👉 Los argentinos no necesitamos visa.
9) Dresden
Otro corte a mitad de camino, ya que desde Praga a Berlín son 4 horas de viaje, decidimos frenar a almorzar en Dresden. Una ciudad muy pintoresca a tan sólo 1:30 hs de Praga. Vale la pena recorrerla y muchos deciden quedarse a pasar la noche. Nosotros visitamos su plaza principal y alrededores. El tiempo no acompañaba así que le dedicamos como mucho 3 hs.
10) Berlín
Llegamos al último destino de este #FarfromBA. Les dejo un poco de info útil:
👉 Cómo llegar: Desde Praga en auto fueron 4 hs. A los que vengan de BA, no hay vuelos directos. - 👉 Cantidad de días: mínimo 3 y preferentemente 4. Es que Berlín tiene tantos museos, tanta historia y distancias tan grandes que las horas del día vuelan. - 👉 Época para visitarla: de junio a septiembre es lo mejor porque es una de las ciudades más frías y ventosas de Alemania. (damos fe de esto). - 👉 Qué ver: * Puerta de Branderburgo (icono indiscutido) * Reichtag (Parlamento) subir a su cúpula. Es gratis, sólo hay que registrarse online. * Memorial del Holocausto * Postdamer PLatz * Check Point Charly * Catedral y la Isla de los museos * Alexander Platz y la Torre de TV (mirador) * East Side Gallery (parte del muro intervenida por artistas del mundo) * TierGarten (jardines, zoo y acuario) * Si hay tiempo: Campo de concentración Sachsenhausen (a 30 km)
Es difícil explicar qué me pasó con Berlín. Es una ciudad de contrastes que invita a reflexionar y te pega como te pega. Creo que hay un Berlín para cada uno que la visite.
Apartado especial a la salchicha alemana y todas sus variantes:
Alemania tierra de #Salchichas o "#Wurst" como le dicen ellos, aunque no es tan sencillo como uno imagina, ya que hay MIL variantes y por eso son las mejores del mundo. La clásica salchicha que todos vienen a probar cuando pisan el país germano es la "Curry Wurst": una salchicha trozada acompañada con salsa de curry y papas fritas. Muyyy buena. Aclaro que no probé todas las variantes pero por ahora me quedo con la “BlutWurst” (es de sangre, como una especie de morcilla) y el pancho “Nutty Caesar” de @thebigdog_berlin que la rompió y por eso lo elegí para la foto. A continuación les cuento un poco sobre todas la opciones que pueden llegar a encontrar, no sin antes comentarles que @el.baqueano (restaurante en BA) acaba de ser elegido como el creador de #LaMejorSalchicaDelMundo. ¿Que tul? ¡Al final no hay que ir tan lejos! Parece que la clave de su éxito fue la salsa chimichurri 👌🏻 Wurst en Alemania: 🌭 Bockwurst: hecha a partir de carne de cerdo, vaca, pollo o pavo. Es bastante gruesa y se suele coser antes de comer. 🌭 Wienerwurst: de carne vacuna y de cerdo sazonado con ajo y cilantro. 🌭 Bierwurst: Todavía no la descifré, pero es algún tipo de embutido con aderezo y frutas del bosque. 🌭 Bratwurst: hecha de carne de cerdo o ternera, pimienta, nuez moscada y jengibre. 🌭 Weibwurst: salchicha blanca. Eso suele desayunarse o de colación a las 11 am con mostaza dulce y un bretzel acompañado de una cerveza. Mezclan la carne con diferentes especias y huevo.

#FarFromBA: Germany-Prague
A visit to the German country with a brief 2-day break to the Czech Republic to visit Prague, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
From modern skylines to ancient castles, passing through villages and trying all kinds of foods. In this post I tell you all my Road Trip and the best tips.
First of all, I show you the route that we delineate and then I will go on with each city.
Lufthansa has a direct flight from BA to Frankfurt. They are very friendly and attentive to those who travel with babies. For very little money you can get a preferential seat. It takes my 👍
Germany is a very safe country to drive and has so many things to see, so in my opinion, it is best to plan the trip by car so you do not miss anything and even allow yourself to make spontaneous stops. The routes are impeccable, the signage is optimal and the landscape accompanies.
Important data:
🚗 You can rent a car at: Europcar, Avis or Sixt and request a chair for baby/child in advance (or bring your own, as children can dispatch up to 23 kg at no cost on the flight). Rental Approx per day: USD 40/50. Rent of Carseat per day USD 10/12.
🚗 International registration is needed and in BA you can process it in ACA for ARS700, fast processing and no shift.
🚗 There is no speed limit, unless there is a signal and there are no tolls.
🚗 The left lane is the fastest and the cars reach 220, if you do not plan to go (so) fast keep yourself to the right.
🚗 "Ausfahrt" is not a town, it means "exit" 🤣
🚗 The bathroom of the gas station is paid with coins (€ 0.70) and you can use the receipt to discount it for any purchase you make in that station or a different one.
🚗 On Sundays there are no trucks on the route and it makes it so fluid to drive
🚗 The border between Germany and the Czech Republic is imperceptible. So if you are in a car, you will have to stop at the first gas station that you find and ask for the "sticker" to put in the window and thus avoid fines for entering with a German car 🤷🏻♀️. It costs € 13.
1) Frankfurt
Taxi: from Frankfurt airport to the city center it costs € 40 (Uber is only in Berlin) and the train is €5 per person.
Stay: average of 2-3 days. On weekends hotels are cheaper than in the week because Frankfurt is the financial center and the most international city in Germany.
Cell phone: I bought a chip for € 15 (the cheapest is € 10). It can be purchased at the airport or in the city (T-Mobile or Vodafone). It should last 28 days but it depends on the use that each one gives. TIP: it is important to keep it in Airplane mode and use the wifi of hotels and restaurants as long as possible. When there is no wifi on hand and a connection is needed, the airplane mode is deactivated and that's it. I guarantee it will last for 28 days.
The city cut in half by the Main River with pedestrian bridges to be able to cross from one side to another.
Things to see: * Romerberg: old town * Sachsenhausen neighborhood and walk around the Berger Strabe area. * Palm Trees Garden and Goethe House * Financial District and commercial zone (Walk through street Zeil). * Street of the museums (more than 15 museums on the banks of the Main river) * Iron Bridge * Lookouts: Frankfurt Cathedral, Meno Tower or the Fleming Roof Bar. * Night Life: surroundings of Café Bar Celona
There are many other things but this gives you with a good overview.
Special mention to @lindnerhotels. I'm in love with the rom views and happy with all the staff that was super attentive and helpful at all times I absolutely recommend it!
2) ELTZ
A must stop in Germany is to visit a castle. In fact, there is a specific route (known as the #RomanticRoute) to know them all (16 villages are visited and 372 km are covered).
I did not count with that time, so I only visited 2 of them and here I show you the first one:
The #EltzCastle is considered by many, one of the most beautiful castles in the country.
The experience was something like immersing yourself in the Middle Ages. The path to the Castle will prepare you for one of the best postcards and memories of the trip.
The oldest record of the castle is 1157. In 1268 after a family dispute, the ownership of the castle was divided between 3 brothers and later among their descendants. The castle came to be inhabited by more than 100 people.
Tip: Inside the place you can eat at a good price.
Useful Info:
👉 From Frankfurt it is 2 hours by car. There is a parking before admission (€ 2,00).
👉 From there you have 2 options: Walk for 15 min while walking the trail or approach with a minibus (€ 2.00)
👉 The nearest train stops are in Moselkern and Karden. From there you can walk, take a taxi or a bus depending on the day.
👉 Open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There are guided tours in English (€ 10) but the internal courtyard is free, as well as the access to the cafeteria.
3) Rothemburg
Rothenburg ob der Tauber is the most picturesque village of the Romantic Route.
For many it is a village of fairy tales. Even, it is where the best Christmas Market in the world take place and they say that Disney was inspired by it to make "Pinocchio".
It's 2 hours by car from Frankfurt. Here is what I visited:
👉 Christmas shop on Herngasse street: The store recreates a German snow town in December.
👉 Christmas Museum: it is inside the store that I just told you (€ 4) for adults and (€ 2) for children. It is a unique collection of Christmas trees from the last 200 years.
👉 Torre Rodertor: Amazing pictures of Rothemburg are achieved. You can also go up to the town hall to get good views.
👉 Walk through the gardens of the old castle.
👉 At night, in the central square, the serene of Rothenburg makes walks with people to tell stories and legends of this fantastic town.
4) Nuremberg
Our Stop through Nuremberg was express. We left Rothenburg on the way to Munich and stopped to have lunch and stretch our legs a bit. We could not have chosen a better place. In fact, we regretted not having been able to spend the night and spend more time. So my advice here would be to dedicate a full day to get lost in its streets and bridges.
5) Munich
I took the photo from the lookout that has the #StPeterChurch that is the oldest in Germany.
The main tourist attractions of Munich are very close to each other and can easily be explored on foot.
Here are some obligatory stops but there is much more to see:
👉 Marienplatz: it is the central square of Munich. Visit the Peter´s Church viewpoint.
👉 English Garden: One of the largest in the world (even larger than Central Park). Do not miss the surfers in the park's channels.
👉 Residence of Munich: It is the former Royal Palace and the largest in Germany in an urban area.
👉 Nymphenburg Palace: It was the King´s of Bavaria summer residence.
👉 Dachau: Concentration camp.
👉 The King's Square: a bit of Greece in Germany.
👉 Lady of Munich and the Footprint of the Devil Cathedral (no construction can be higher than the Cathedral)
Spatial section to the Beer in this city. There are more than 600 #Biergarten to enjoy what is probably the best beer in the world.
I love the tradition that the people of Munich have of being able to sit down side by side and start conversations, beer in between, at all times and at all times.
Not to mention the #OcktoberFest, the biggest beer festival in Germany and one of the most important in the world since 1810.
Here are the 3 breweries that I liked the most: 🍺 Hofbräuhaus (the most touristic) 🍺 Agustiner Brau (the oldest) 🍺 Orlando (the most elegant)
Tip: Munich is a paradise for pregnant and nursing mothers. There is beer without alcohol everywhere and it is excellent.
6) Neuschwanstein
At a time when castles and fortresses were not necessary, Ludwig II of Bavaria, known as the Crazy King, ordered the construction of a castle that reflected an imaginary and poetic world in which he could take refuge and dream.
The castle is so spectacular that even Walt Disney himself was inspired by it for the creation of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
It has 200 rooms and in high season it receives 10,000 visitors per day.
Open to the public since 1886, only a few weeks after the King´s death.
Useful Info:
👉 The castle is 130km from Munich
👉 Open every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (€ 13)
👉 The ticket can be booked online or purchased right there (includes the audioguide, 40 min internal tour).
👉 It can be reached by public transport after several transfers but what I researched is a slow and uncomfortable option. It is best to hire a tour or rent a car.
👉 The castle is usually in constant maintenance and the bridge from where the panoramic photos are achieved, can be closed or the castle facade have scaffolding. If this is inconvenient for you, check before you go.
👉 Finally, consider 20 min of walking uphill from the parking lot and if you are with a stroller (like us) you can take a bus for (€ 2) and arrive in 5 min. The return is easier because it is all way down.
7) Regensburg
This was another of our express stops but worthy of a full day, staying for the night, since Regensburg was declared a Patronym of Humanity by UNESCO. The truth is that it is very worthwhile to shop around and get lost among its picturesque houses and streets. Do not forget to visit its imposing Cathedral and finally, go down and walk along the river.
8) Prague (Czech Republic)
As I had told you, we made a mini detour from Germany and crossed to #Czech Republic to get to know this city that we wanted so much.
When choosing where to stay we went against where all tourists usually stay (Old City) and we came to #MalaStrana which is the highest area and close to Prague Castle. Much more calm and picturesque.
I want to recommend to the Golden Key Hotel member of @astenhotels one of the most family-friendly hotels I have ever stayed in. In addition, the location is strategic, it is on the street "Nerudova" considered one of the most beautiful in Europe and a few steps from the Prague Castle.

Useful info:
👉 1992 Czechoslovak Republic was divided into what we now know as the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
👉 Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, which belongs to the European Union but does NOT use Euro but the Czech Crown (€ 1 = 23 CZK).
👉 Most places accept credit card and Euros but they will return in CZK if neccessary. We with a 2 day visit, we did not change money at any time.
👉 They speak Czech but they also speak basic English. In any case, greeting and thanking in the local language will always be valued. Therefore, phonetically speaking. Hello is "ajoi" and thanks "dikuí".
👉 Argentines do not need a visa.
9) Dresden
Another cut half way, since from Prague to Berlin are 4 hours away, we decided to stop for lunch in Dresden. A very picturesque city only 1:30 hs away from Prague. It is worth exploring and many decide to stay overnight. We visited its main square and surroundings. Time did not accompany so we dedicate at most 3 hours.

From Prague by car it took 4 hours. To those who come from BA, there are no direct flights. - 👉 Number of days:
Minimum 3 and preferably 4. Berlin has so many museums, so much history and distances are so big that the hours of the day fly. - 👉 Time to visit:
from June to September is the best time because it is one of the coldest and windiest cities in Germany. (Amén). - 👉 What to see: * Brandenburg Gate (undisputed icon) * Reichtag (Parliament) climb to its dome. It's free, you just have to register online WAY in advance. * Holocaust Memorial * Postdamer PLatz * Check Point Charly * Cathedral and the Museum Island * Alexander Platz and the TV Tower (viewpoint) * East Side Gallery (part of the wall intervened by artists from around the world) * TierGarten (gardens, zoo and aquarium) * If there is time: Sachsenhausen concentration camp (30 km away)
It's hard to explain what happened to me with Berlin. It is a city of contrasts that invites reflection and hits you as it hits you. I think there is a Berlin for everyone who visits it.
Special section to the German sausage and all its variants:
🌭 Bockwurst: made from pork, beef, chicken or turkey. It is quite thick and is usually sewn before eating.
🌭 Wienerwurst: beef and pork seasoned with garlic and cilantro.
🌭 Bierwurst: I have not figured it out yet, but it's some kind of sausage with a dressing and berries.
🌭 Bratwurst: made of pork or veal, pepper, nutmeg and ginger.
🌭 Weibwurst: white sausage. That usually has breakfast or snack at 11 am with sweet mustard and a bretzel accompanied by a beer. Mix the meat with different spices and egg.
