BA con lluvia

Este post está inspirado en los inagotables días de lluvia que tuvimos este año. Muchas veces obliga a uno a re-estructurar el cronograma, reemplazando un paseo al aire libre por un programa puertas adentro.
Partiendo de la premisa que si la lluvia es liviana, aún así podemos mantener el cronograma original, con la ayuda de un paraguas. Les dejo algunas ideas que pueden salvarlos en un terrible día gris porteño.
Shopping
De las alternativas más comunes cuando no ayuda el tiempo. Es el momento perfecto para aprovechar y hacer compras. Depende de la zona donde estén hospedados, las posibilidades pueden ser Alto Palermo (Palermo), Patio Bullrich (Recoleta) o Galerías Pacifico (microcentro). Este último tiene un plus, su arquitectura y su cúpula pintada con obras de arte, son fotografiados por cualquiera que este de paso por ahí. Les dejo un link con otras opciones.
Museos
Existen varios en la ciudad y la mayoría gratuitos. Por lo que se pude combinar una parte del día para hacer compras y la segunda parte, si no mejora el tiempo, visitar alguno de los museos. Mis preferidos (es cuestión de gustos) son el Malba y el Museo de Bellas Artes. Además, por su cercanía, pueden aprovechar y conocer ambos.
Cafecitos
Si los días no mejoran, a no desanimarse. Siempre que llovió paró. Existen muchos cafés emblemáticos y de patrimonio histórico para conocer. Una de las opciones que les recomendaría es el Café Tortoni que cuenta con un show de tango (tarde-noche). Pero aún así, aunque no decidan ir a ver el show, vale la pena conocerlo. Librería el Ateneo
Es impresionante la cantidad de turistas que pasan por este antiguo teatro convertido en librería/café sólo para sacar una foto. No sé ustedes, pero cuando me ha tocado conocer otra ciudad y el tiempo no acompañaba, siempre tenía el dato de alguna librería copada y me sentaba a tomar un café mientras leía uno de mis libros favoritos (de viajes, fotografía o diseño). Es un buen momento para hacer un break e inclusive re-programar un poco el viaje. Link
Casa Rosada o El CCK
Dos opciones cercanas entre sí que valen la pena, sobre todo si la lluvia es un fin de semana o un feriado. Ambos recorridos son gratuitos, pero hay que anotarse por internet previamente. Es muy sencillo. Inclusive se puede elegir ir de un día para el otro.
Fotografiar
Contra todo pronóstico y sólo los amantes de la fotografía podrán entenderme, cuando digo que encuentro los días de lluvia como grandes aliados de las fotografías "épicas". El clima que se genera es único. Sólo hay que ponerse un buen par de botas de goma, piloto, gorro, paraguas, cámara en mano y a disfrutar del paseo.

What to do in BA on rainy days?
This post was inspired by the countless rainy days we had so far. More than once we were forced to rearrange the original schedule from an outdoor to an indoor journey.
In the case of a light rain, there is no need to change the original plan (whether we have an umbrella next to us). Here are some plans against an awful grey day in our beloved Buenos Aires:
Shopping Malls
One of the most common alternative on these kind of days. It is the perfect opportunity to take advantage and buy some presents. According to where you are hosted, you may choose Alto Palermo (Palermo), Patio Bullrich (Recoleta/Retiro) or Galerías Pacífico (Downtown). The latter, in my opinion, is the best due to its architecture: its famous dome is the reflection of pieces of art and people usually take photographs of it. Museums
There are many and mostly for free. It is perfectly possible to do some shopping at first and, if the weather conditions do not improve, visit our beautiful museums. In my opinion MALBA and our "Museo de Bellas Artes" [Museum of Fine Arts], wich are also very close to each other
Cafes
Still raining? Do not disappoint! Nothing lasts forever, and the rain is not the exception. There are various iconic cafes to know. One of the options I would like suggesting is "Cafe Tortoni", which offers daily tango shows. Even if tango does not suit you, it is worth visiting. Here is a 'top five' link with the best cafes.
Librería El Ateneo
One can never fail to admire the amount of tourist coming to this old theatre turned into a bookstore and cafe only for a picture. Personally when visiting a city, on awful days, I always had with me the address of an interesting bookstore to sit by and enjoy a coffee while reading a book (travel, photography or desing). It is always a good moment to stop for a minute. Link
Casa Rosada [Pink House] or CCK (Centro Cultural Kirchner)
Two near lovely venues suitable for rainy days chiefly on weekends or hollidays. Both are free of charge but you must book -easily- a day ahead on their webs.
Photographing
Rainy days are the greatest allies for taking epic photographs. I love taking pictures on these kind of days. The atmosphere surrounding every shot is unique. The only stuff I need is rubber boots, coats, hat, umbrella and my camera. Voilá!
