Verano en BA (Vol 1)

El verano es un excelente momento para disfrutar y conocer la ciudad de una manera mucho más tranquila que el resto del año (coincide con las vacaciones). No sólo recibimos visitantes de todas las provincias de la Argentina sino también del mundo entero, sumado a todos los porteños que nos toca quedarnos y que buscamos opciones y programas para disfrutar.
1. Playas Artificiales
Cuando se inauguraron hace unos años tuve mis dudas pero con el pasar del tiempo me di cuenta que estaba equivocada. Es una muy buena opción para los que no pudieron irse a la costa y necesitan sentir que están en la playa. Cuentan con sombrillas, reposeras, cancha de vóley, puestos de comida, etc. Al estar cerca de la costa del Río de la Plata corre una brisa que ayuda a soportar las altas temperaturas que tiene Bs. As en verano. Abren de martes a domingo (feriados incluidos) de 10 a 20 hs en el Parque de los Niños (Av. General Paz y Av. Cantilo). Del 8 de enero al 28 de febrero. + info
2. Espacios verdes
El Lago Regatas (más conocido como Lago de Palermo), el Rosedal, el Planetario, el Jardín Botánico y el Jardín Japonés son una de las tantas opciones que tenemos para practicar deportes, remar, andar en bicicleta, leer un libro o simplemente armar un picnic rodeado de la naturaleza. El fin de semana es uno de los momentos más lindos para visitarlos. Los que acabo de nombrar se encuentran todos relativamente cerca entre sí. Existen otras opciones como Plaza Francia (en el barrio de Recoleta), Parque Centenario o el Parque Sarmiento que se destaca por sus instalaciones deportivas. Párrafo aparte merece la Reserva Ecológica (Costanera Sur, atrás del moderno barrio de Puerto Madero). Cuenta con 350 hectáreas y es el mayor espacio verde de la ciudad.
3. Cine al aire libre o Auto-cine
Tuve la suerte de poder disfrutar de este espectáculo en otras ciudades del mundo, pero para ser sincera sigue siendo una asignatura pendiente en mi ciudad. Sin falta lo haré este verano y armaré un post específico al respecto. Por lo pronto sólo puedo decir que me parece una opción distinta y original poder ver una película al aire libre y así disfrutar de una noche de verano comiendo pochoclos bajo las estrellas. 4. Bus Turístico
Todas las ciudades principales del mundo cuentan con un Bus Turístico. Soy reacia a esta opción pero como a todo hay que darle una oportunidad, decidí vivir la experiencia. Es una buena opción si querés tener un pantallazo general de la ciudad y visitar sus puntos más emblemáticos. También te la recomiendo en caso de que no te guste tanto caminar y más si hace tanto calor. Lo bueno es que podés bajar y subir en cualquier parada y una vez que terminás tu recorrido, volvés a subir para seguir recorriendo (pasan cada 20 min). Acá les dejo mi experiencia (BA Bus).
5. Recorridos a Pie
Si bien el calor puede ser un obstáculo, sigue siendo mi forma preferida para recorrer la ciudad. Este año lo hice varias veces. Elegía un barrio específico y salía (con cámara en mano) a recorrerlo y perderme por ahí. Siempre existen puntos de referencia para visitar algúnos barrios. En esta web en la parte de mapas podés econtrar algúnas sugerencias, pero no hay nada más lindo que vos hagas tu propio camino. También existen algúnas visitas guiadas en el caso de que te guste mucho la arquitectura (arquiviajes) y otras que son a la gorra.

Summer in Buenos Aires
Summer is the ideal time to enjoy and know the city in a relaxed way than the rest of the year. Not only do we receive visitors from provinces, but also from the rest of the world, plus the citizens that remain and seek for plans to enjoy.
1. Artificial beaches
Some years back when they were inaugurated I was doubtful about its success, but as time went by I realised I was wrong. It is a pretty nice option for those who could not leave the city and need to feel like in the beach. These are equipped with parasols, sun loungers, volley court, food stalls, etc. By being near Río de La Plta a breeze blowing let us bear the high temperatures. It is open from Thursday to Sunday as well as national holidays from 10AM to 8PM in "Parque de los Niños" [Intersection of Avenida General Paz and Cantilo],

2. Green Spaces
The Lago Regatas, our Rose Garden, planetarium and botanical garden are one of many options for practising sports, rowing, biking, reading a book or simply enjoying a picnic on the outside. Weekends are the best moment for visiting them. What I have just stated above are close one another. There are other options like Plaza Francia, in Recoleta, or Parque Centenario and Sarmiento, which stands out for its sports facilities. Our ecological reserve (behind Puerto Madero, in Costanera Sur) deserves praising: it has 350 hectares and the biggest green space in the city.
3. Outdoor Cinema
I had the chance to enjoy this event in other parts of the globe but, to be honest, it is still a task that remains pending. I will do it this summer and I post it shortly. By the time I must admit this is a cool possibility to see a movie on the open air and eating pop-corn in a summer night accompanied by the stars. 4. Touristic Bus Every important city of the world has a touristic bus. I am reluctant to this option but eventually I decided to live the experience. It is a good idea if you want to have a glimpse and visit some emblematic points. I would also suggest this alternative if you do not feel like walking in days like these. On the plus side, you can get up or down at any stop and once the journey is over, you can resume it in the bus and keep touring (frequency: 20 min). Here is my experience on this subject (BA Bus).
5. Footing I'd rather walk despite heat. I've done this many times. Choose a specific point and voilá (grab your camera) ASAP!. There are always sites of interest in the neighbourhoods. On this site, in MAPS section, you will find some suggesions, but mark my works: there's nothing better than DOING IT YOURSELF. There are also additional options such as guided visits oriented to architecture while others for tips (arquiviajes).
