Seguramente alguna vez te pasó de estar hablando con amigos, parientes o inclusive con algún turista, donde te quedaste escuchando cuánto les gustó La Boca, el Teatro Colón, la Catedral o inclusive algún famoso bodegón donde comieron como dioses. Pero por sobre todas las cosas, seguramente escuchaste cómo aprecian la ciudad en la que vivimos.
Personalmente, pasé por esta situación un montón de veces, hasta que un día me pregunté: ¿cómo puede ser que no conozca ciertos lugares emblemáticos de mi propia ciudad?
Al principio me encontré con respuestas como "El colegio nunca me llevó" o "No encontré oportunidad, en otro momento lo hago", y todavía peor "No tengo tiempo".
En la medida que lo hablaba con amigos y conocidos, me di cuenta que no era la única, que la misma sensación que tenía yo, la compartían un montón de personas.
Si vos sos una de esas personas y te sentís identificado, probablemente tengamos mucho en común y puedas llegar a interesarte por el contenido de este blog.
Mi nombre es Cynthia Martinez Wagner, tengo 28 años y soy ciudadana porteña. Hasta algunos meses atrás no conocía el barrio de La Boca. Sí, leíste bien, tengo 28 años y acabo de conocer "Caminito".
Tal tristeza me generaba el admitir que no conocía ciertos lugares "icónicos", que saqué el ticket para el BA-Bus (bus turístico amarillo) y así pude tener un paneo general de los "MUST" porteños.
El circuito estuvo muy bueno. La audio guía un poco plomo (va con onda). Llegó un momento que me saqué los audífonos y me quedé mirando y admirando la ciudad; con sus árboles, edificios, colores, gente andando en bici y dije ¡Bs.As. qué linda que sos!
Ése día me di cuenta que miraba sin mirar, que la rutina me había aplastado y que el cansancio de las malas noticias en el diario no me dejaban apreciar lo increíble de este lugar.
Está claro que no es lo mismo vivir acá que estar de visita, pero a partir de esta experiencia, empecé a disfrutar mi ciudad como nunca antes lo había hecho. ¡Hay tanto por conocer! Y creo que esa sensanción de ir siempre en busca de algo nuevo es sumamente placentera.
Así nace "Turista en Buenos Aires". Un espacio que propone re descubrir Buenos Aires con ojos de turista para volver a sorprendernos de los detalles. Una ciudad que poco tiene que envidiarle a otras. Perfecta no es (ninguna lo es) pero lo que tiene ya la hace única.
Mi objetivo es plasmar en este blog todo lo que voy conociendo (tu sugerencia no molesta) e inspirar a otros a enamorarse de BA, o como fue mi caso, que vuelvan a re encontrarse con ella.

Surely once you were chatting with friends, relatives or even tourists when they told you how much they enjoyed La Boca, the Cathedral or Teatro Colon [Colon Theatre]. But above all how they appreciated the city we live in.
I must admit that I came across with that awkward moment several times until I wondered: "How was it possible that I had not been in some emblematic places?
At first I looked for the reasons. Answers like 'I haven't had the chance, I'll do it eventually" or "I don't have time" (shame on me!) arose.
I was utterly surprised when I found out that I was not the only one in this situation. On the contrary lots of friends felt fully represented.

I am Cynthia Martinez Wagner-28 years old, and a BA citizen. It would be weird for you if I admitted that my first time in La Boca was a couple of months ago.
Remorse made me buy a Ba-Bus (yellow tourist bus) ticket to have a general overview of some points of interest. The tour was pretty cool. The audio-guide was tedious so I took off the headset and simply feel the atmosphere. I was able to admire green spaces, buildings, colours and people riding bikes. It was at that point when I said to myself: "What a wonderful city!".
That day I realised that routine had teared me apart. Living in a cosmopolitan city can stress you easily. There was a vivid world surrounding me and I could not perceive it.
It is crystal clear that is not the same being a tourist than a resident, but that experience was the turning point. I started enjoying my city like never before.
It is a wordless sensation to be pursuiting new experiencies. That's how "Turista en Buenos Aires' was born. A space which main proposal is redescovering BA with the tourist POV. Let me tell you that BA has little to envy to any other city around the world. Nothing is perfect, but BA is by itself a unique city.
My goal is double: first putting into words my feelings about visiting new corners of BA. Secondly inspiring you to fall in love with Buenos Aires, or like me, to rediscover it.
