La Reserva Ecológica
English version at end of post Si te gusta el turismo ecológico o querés cortar un poco con el ruido y la locura de la ciudad, creo que vas a disfrutar este enorme oasis verde en pleno barrio moderno de Puerto Madero.
La Reserva se encuentra ubicada en la Costanera Sur. La entrada es gratuita y abre de martes a domingo. Se puede recorrer tranquilamente a pie o en bicicleta. Yo me inclino más por esta última opción para optimizar el tiempo (se alquilan bicis en la entrada).
Existen 4 recorridos. Los planos los entregan en la entrada en la oficina de información. El recorrido de menor tiempo es de 45 min. Los intermedios son de 1:10 hs y 1:30 hs. El de mayor duración es de 2:40 hs, si uno decide hacerlo a pie.
La Reserva cuenta con 350 hectáreas y viven alrededor de 300 especies de aves, además de reptiles, peces y mamíferos, entre otros. La realidad es que cuando fui no me topé con muchos animales y disruté más de los senderos y del contraste que hay entre la naturaleza y la ciudad. Se logran muy lindas fotos.
Una de las cosas que más me gustó fue el silencio y el aire fresco (3,5° grados menos que en la ciudad) y sobre todas las cosas, el acceso al río, donde hay bancos para descansar, tomar mates o almorzar algo. Eso sí, llévense su propia comida porque no hay puestos dentro de la reserva (aunque sí fuera).
Si te gustan los juegos de mesa, vas a encontrar mesas distribuidas en uno de los senderos.
Buenos Aires cuenta con varios espacios verdes que merecen la pena visitar. La Reserva Ecológica de Puerto Madero es uno de ellos.

The Reserve
Buenos Aires has many green spaces worth visiting. One of them is our Reserva Ecológica [Ecological Reserve]. If you are fond of green spaces or you simply want to rush away from hustle and madness from the city, you will be enchanted by this green colossus in the heart of Puerto Madero, the trendiest site in Buenos Aires.
The Reserva is located in Costanera Sur. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday and is free of charge. It could be toured perfectly on foot or by bike. I think the latter is better for saving time (bikes are rented in the entrance)
There are four roads. Maps are given in the entrance of the venue: there is an office to answer any kind of doubts. The shortest tour is about forty-five minutes. An intermediate one is also possible, and it lasts between one hour and ten minutes, and an hour and thirty. The longest one is about two hours and forty minutes, should you carry out on foot.
The Reserva has 350 hectares and 300 types of birds live there, apart from reptiles, fish and mammals, among others. To my dismay I must admit there were not many animals, and I simply had to be content with the paths and the unmistakable contrast between nature and the city. If you are photographer or simply like taking photos, I would strongly suggest this green space.
One of the things I liked most was the silence and the freshness of the air (3.5∞ less than in the city) and, above all, the view to the river, with benches to sit, drink mates o lunching. Tip: bring your own food as there are no restaurants or trucks inside the reserve (you must leave it).
Should you like board games, you will come across tables spread all over one of the paths.
